Thirty Three Years Ago Today

Thirty-three years ago today, my life changed for the better. Good golly, we were young! I was 21, he was 22. I was in my last year of nursing school and he was in the U.S. Coast Guard. Seems like yesterday.

It has been a wild ride; 4 kids, 14 moves, 8 states and countless miles, but I wouldn't change a thing. Except those tuxes! What was I thinking? It was 1977, what can I say?

Happy Anniversary honey. I love you more than you know.

  1. Yeah, but those gorgeous red dresses more than make up for the tuxes. They'd be right in style today. Did you sew them? Happy Anniversary! :o)

  2. Oh, what wonderful memories! You more than make up for any tuxedo fails with the gorgeous design decisions you now make and share. We forgive you, and wish you and Jimmy many, many more years of love and happiness!

  3. Congrats!! It is hard to believe any of us were ever that young. I look like a boy...even in the dress!!!! LoL Love you both!!!

  4. Happy Anniversary to both of you! Not too many couples can stay married that long.

  5. Everything in your photo is absoulutely charming, even the tuxes. Love the flower girl's pinafore especially.

Kudos to you! A good marriage is a lot of hard work. Definitely worth it though!

  6. John Travolta eat your heart out LOL. Martha, you haven't changed a bit !! Congratulations to you both.

  7. Happy Anniversary to you and Jimmie!
    What a wonderfully happy post.
    Thanks for sharing.
