Just wondering...

What other tutorials would you like see? There has been good response on the Heirloom Sewing and Smocking board on Delphi so I was wondering what other tutorials would you like to see. I am a strong believer in clear concise directions, so I would like to add to them if possible. Let me know. Off to the game! Playyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ball.

  1. Hi, Martha! thought I would check out your blog after your recent post on mine regarding the "start" of my bottle tree! I love your avatar! Is that a machine or hand done piece? I recently saw something similar on "America Sews with Sue Hausmann" and it was starched to a window. Yours looks like that same sort of lovely treatment.
I frequent Delphi as well, but mostly lurk. When I do comment it is usually on the Sewing for Women thread on Heirloom Sewing and Smocking. My Southern roots go back to being born in New Orleans and most of my family being raised there. So nice to meet you!

  2. Not sure what an "avatar" is, if you mean the pic that goes with my post that is actually the embroidered gown front on one of the christening gowns I did. I had taped it in the window in order to photograph it. It is so hard to get pictures of white on white.

    Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Martha...thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a message!! I came across your blog a few days ago and have visited regularly since. Your work is gorgeous and I love the tutorial on the eyelets. I was thinking about trying this the other day before I came across your I really do need to try this stitch. The finished result is so beautiful and your directions seem so clear!! I'll be back to see what else you are working on!!

  4. Thanks Cindy. I am going to try to get the bullion flowers tutorial done this afternoon. I love hand embroidery.

Welcome, I am so glad you chose to leave a comment. I love getting comments, questions and even just a friendly hello. I may not respond to every comment, but rest assured I read them all. Sometimes the comments and questions fuel new posts. So comment away!
